Leica TCS SP5
New intelligent and intuitive user interface

In close cooperation with leading research scientists, Leica Microsystems has developed a new confocal and two photon platform: the Leica TCS SP5. This system unites the two worlds of real time, live cell functional imaging and highest resolution structural imaging in a single, truly confocal, configurable platform.

As a result, the Leica TCS SP5 features the broadest band of imaging speeds and resolutions ever available in one Confocal Microscope (from 1.0 to 16,000 lines/second and up to 64 Megapixels per image). As a true single point Confocal, it is the only system to combine fast frame rates, best resolution and depth imaging with full multi-channel capabilities.

Broadband Multi-Spectral Imaging for multi-labelled specimens is supported by the dynamic beam splitter AOBS® and has been further extended by expanding the highly sensitive SP® prism spectrophotometer detection to five simultaneous channels. In addition, the new dimension of two channel spectral FLIM (Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging) is available.

A new intelligent and intuitive user interface, supported by a digital dashboard for tactile control, provides outstanding ease of use across all Leica Microsystems Advanced Fluorescence systems. A broad range of application wizards, such as FRAP, FRET, FCS and Motion Analysis, turns the system into the leading research tool for Shared Resource Laboratories.
